September 15, 2014Winning Return for Tender
Geelong, September 12 – Stakes-placed in her first preparation, this David Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained daughter of All American resumed from a spell to win at Geelong on Friday.
A homebred for Newhaven Park, three year-old filly Tender was sent out a short priced favourite for the 1100 metre maiden and scored a strong finishing win for Damien Oliver.
Not beaten far in four previous runs in which she finished two thirds and two fourths, Tender looks a stronger filly this time around.
She is the fourth and final foal of well-related Danehill (USA) mare Memoir, who died in 2012.
A placed daughter of Group I winner Kapchat, Memoir was a three-quarter sister to Group III winner Kaphero and is a sister to stakes-winner Princesa, the dam of Group II winners Star of Giselle and Solicit.
She is another promising winner for All American, whose oldest progeny have just turned three.
