Ballarat, February 26 – Well-bred Fastnet Rock mare Posh Rock broke her maiden at Ballarat on Thursday providing a timely pedigree update for her full brother headed to the 2015 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale for Newhaven Park.
The Tony Noonan trained Posh Rock scored by a long head in the 1400 metre maiden at her second run back from a spell.
A $200,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newhaven Park draft for Laurel Oak Bloodstock and her trainer, Posh Rock is a full sister to Group I placed Group III winner We’re Gonna Rock and is the third winner from Harrow.
A blue-blooded half-sister to Group I winners Bluebird the Word and Porto Roca (dam of Dubai World Cup winner Monterosso), Harrow is the dam of a cracking Fastnet Rock colt that will be offered by Newhaven Park as Lot 432.
