Talented colt looking to Collect further Black-type

A last start third in the G3 Skyline Stakesover 1200m at Randwick, the Newhaven Park-bred Fastnet Rock colt Collect heads to this Saturday’s G2Pago Pago Stakes with an extreme winning chance.

Sold at the 2011 Magic Millions YearlingSale to Randwick trainer Kevin Moses for $330,000 from the draft of NewhavenPark, Collect is out of the stakes-performed Red Ransom mare Sweet Ransom and comes from the family of the dual G1-winning sprinter Rubitano. Sweet Ransom’s current yearling, also by Fastnet Rock, was sold at this year’sMagic Millions Yearling Sale for $380,000 and has been named Irish Bandit.

A win in this Saturday’s race will give Collectautomatic entry to the G1 Golden Slipper a week later, so connections will needto decide if they back the colt up or wait until the G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes over1400m the following Saturday.
