Newhaven Park’s new stallion for 2013, Champion sprinter Delago Deluxe, is proving popular amongst breeders leading into the start of 2013 season, with his book filling up fast. Delago Deluxe is a dual Gr 1 winning son of Encosta de Lago and is a magnificent looking stallion who stands for a modest fee of $11,000.
Delago Deluxe is by sire of sires Encosta de Lago, also the sire of Champion First Season sire and tragically lost Northern Meteor and Manhattan Rain. Delago Deluxe is the second foal of the Flying Spur mare Succeeding, a half sister to Gr 1 stars Duporth, Excites and Tickets. He has a close up double of the great broodmare Rolls, joining an elite class of stallions including Danehill and Northern Taste.

He returned at 3 winning the time honored Gr 1 Gold Medallion over 1200 which has been won by world-class Champion sprinters Shea Shea and JJ The Jet Plane. Delago Deluxe raced only at 2 and 3 years, won 7 and placed in 4 of his 12 starts and retired sound.
