December 22, 2014More Winners Sold by Newhaven
December 22 – Ill-fated Beneteau featured with another debut winner at Bendigo on Sunday, with the Newhaven Park sold Parcel turning in an eye-catching performance.
Prepared by Wez Hunter, the talented two year- old filly took the 900 metre scamper by three-quarters of a length.
A modest $12,500 Magic Millions National Yearling purchase from the Newhaven Park draft for her trainer and Bluegrass Bloodstock, Parcel is the second winner for Gibraltar Range, a winning Rock of Gibraltar(IRE) daughter of French stakes-winner Hancora.
Parcel joins an impressive list of winners for Beneteau that includes stakes-winner Prompt Return and Sydney metropolitan winners Aegean Sea and Voilier, while It’s Vegas Baby is stakes-placed from just two starts.
Also saluting at the Sunshine Coast was in-form Fastnet Rock four year-old Try Four, who posted his third successive win when forging clear to win over 2200 metres by a length and a half.
A $400,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newhaven draft in 2012, Try Four runs for Graham and Linda Huddy and is from Group I Queensland Oaks winner Allow, so is bred to appreciate a journey and is improving with maturity.
Newhaven Park is among the biggest vendors for Magic Millions 2015 with 37 yearlings catalogued by a wide range of sires. Click here to see the draft.
