November 22, 2015Festivity Promises to Bring Christmas Cheer
Sydney, November 22 – Bred and sold by Newhaven Park, lightly raced Nicconi mare Festivity gave promise of more wins to come when scoring a dominant all the way victory at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Gai Waterhouse trained mare was cherry ripe at her third run back from a spell and led throughout from a wide gate for Koby Jennings.
She kept going strongly to the line to win the 1400 metre contest by two lengths taking her overall record to three wins and two seconds from six starts with prizemoney nearing $140,000.
A $55,000 Magic Millions purchase for Star Thoroughbreds from the Newhaven Park draft, Festivity was also bred by Newhaven and is one of two winners from Canny Lad mare Merrier, a grand-daughter of Group I VRC Oaks winner Scomeld.
Festivity has always shown well above average ability and no doubt her trainer will be looking to find a nice race for her on the rich Magic Millions race day in January.
