A late bloomer, who has found his best form late in life, Delago Deluxe’s full brother Bamboo Dance recorded his sixth consecutive win in Hong Kong when scoring at Sha Tin on Saturday.

Now an eight year-old gelding, prepared by David Hall, Bamboo Dance has been the punter’s friend saluting as favourite in each of those wins dating back to May 31.

He was able to overcome 60 kg and a wide gate to win again on Saturday, scoring over 1600 metres by a neck for Joao Moreira.

A $250,000 Magic Millions purchase for the Hong Kong Jockey Club from the Baramul Stud draft, Bamboo Dance might lack the brilliance of his dual Group I winning brother Delago Deluxe, but his toughness and longevity are admirable qualities.

Delago Deluxe has his first yearlings selling at the Magic Millions in 2016.

Baramul Stud will offer the yearling-half-brother to Delago Deluxe and Bamboo Dance by Street Cry (IRE) from Succeeding at Magic Millions as Lot 639.
