March 17, 2015Black Type for Supara
Sydney, March 2- A homebred for Newhaven Park, the Gai Waterhouse trained filly Supara did best of the rest behind glamour filly First Seal when finishing a game second to the Group I winner in the Group II ATC Surround Stakes at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
Supara enjoyed a good run from gate two for Tommy Berry and found the line well to grab her first slice of Black Type.
“It was a big improvement on her first run back,” said Tommy Berry.
“She loved the soft track which helped and will be better when she gets over further.”
A daughter of Darley based Domesday, Supara is a half-sister to stakes-placed Win for Layla and is the third winner from three to race from stakes-placed Encosta de Lago mare Unabated, who comes from the family of stakes-winning fillies Permai and Permaiscuous.
Unabated has a yearling filly by Smart Missile that will be offered by Newhaven Park as Lot 238 at the 2015 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
Unabated has a colt foal by Reset and was covered again by the son of Zabeel last spring.
