June 2, 2016Debut Winner Sold by Newhaven
May 22 – A $260,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Gai Waterhouse / Julian Blaxland from the Newhaven
Park draft, two year-old Snitzel colt Orleans scored a debut victory at Newcastle on Saturday.
Well educated at the trials, Orleans jumped straight to the front and was never headed, fighting on
to win the 1150 metre maiden by a neck.
Orleans is the second winner for Take Charge, a half-sister to stakes-winner Mutate.
He was a successful pinhook having been bought as a weanling at the MM National Sale for $90,000
from the Rosari Farm draft.
