January 11, 2016Newhaven Park Top MM Book Two
Newhaven Park capped a highly successful 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale when selling the equal highest priced offering in the Book Two part of the sale on Sunday, while our new sire Delago Deluxe was the talk of the town.
The dashing grey filly by Sebring from Group I Queensland Oaks winner Allow proved a hot item when secured by Ricky Surace’s B2B Bloodstock for $230,000.
Newhaven Park finished Book One and Two having sold 24 yearlings for $4.6million and we congratulate all buyers on their purchases and wish them all the very best of luck in the future.
Top sellers for Newhaven were the Redoute’s Choice filly from Hades that made $460,000 to the bid of McEvoy Mitchell Racing and a Pierro colt from Cadazzle (USA) that made $360,000 when bought by Domeland.
The real success story of the sale for Newhaven was the phenomenal reception afforded the first yearlings by our super exciting young sire Delago Deluxe.
He achieved 100% clearance in Book One with 10 yearlings averaging $169,000, an amazing achievement off a service fee of just $11,000!
Top sellers for Delago Deluxe were colts from Morning Swim and Increase that were both consigned by Newhaven and made $250,000 when bought by Blue Sky Bloodstock and Shadwell Australasia.
Next on the agenda for Newhaven Park is the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in Sydney next month where we will offer seven yearlings, four of them by Delago Deluxe. Click here to see the draft.
