December 3, 2014Another Newhaven Sold Winner in South Africa
South Africa, December 3 – Breaking her maiden at Scottsville in South Africa on Tuesday was three year-old Mossman filly Fashion Wear.
She won the 1400 metre maiden for the Tony Rivalland stable by a length and a quarter.
A $52,000 Magic Millions National Sale purchase from the Newhaven Park draft, Fashion Wear was bred by the Esplin family and is the first and so far the only foal of Sydney’s Ransom, a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group I winner and sire Charge Forward.
Fashion Wear is the second South African winner in the past week sold by Newhaven Park following on from Highway Explorer, who scored at Scottsville on the weekend.
