April 12, 2014Newhaven Celebrate a Successful Inglis Easter
Newhaven Park enjoyed very positive results at the 2014 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale selling seven horses in Session I at an average price of $294,286 earning us a slot in the Top 10 vendors by average.
Best results for us were two youngsters that both fetched $450,000.
A colt by Northern Meteor from Tara’s Spur that went the way of Blue Sky Bloodstock and Gai Waterhouse and a filly by More Than Ready (USA) from Mystically (USA) that was bought by Shadwell Australasia, who also paid $300,000 for the half-sister by Bernardini (USA) to this season’s star juvenile colt Unencumbered.
Not far behind the top pair was the full sister to Group III winner We’re Gonna Rock. A lovely filly by Fastnet Rock from Harrow, she made $400,000 to the bid of BBA Ireland.
We also sold four yearlings in Session II headed by a Reset colt from Only Vanda (USA) that made $200,000 when secured by Belmont Bloodstock.
We congratulate all successful purchasers and wish them the best of luck with their new acquisitions.
