2014 has seen an exciting start to the year for Newhaven Park with our top class 2YO colt Unencumbered (Testa Rossa x Blizzardly) winning the the $2 Million Magic Millions Classic and amounting $1,848,850 in prize money for his connections. His next start is the Group 1 Golden Slipper which Newhaven Park have had a great affiliation with, breeding 4 past winners (John’s Hope, Vivarchi, Burst and Prowl) and standing many more – a record unequalled by any other stud farm.
Other graduates flying the flag for Nehwaven Park over the last 12 months are; Wylie Hall – Gr 1 Derby in South Africa, Zac Spirit – Gr 3 Three Rings Trophy in Singapore , Charlie Boy – Gr 2 Danehill Stakes, Champagne Cath – Reginald Allen Qlty LR, Camporella – Gr 3 WATC Sires Produce Stakes.
Newhaven Park will be offering 14 yearlings at this year’s Easter sale. Among them are two outstanding fillies; Lot 37 by Fastnet Rock from Harrow, who is a full sister to multiple stakes performer We’re Gonna Rock (winner of over $500,000 in prizemoney), Lot 344 by Bernardini (sire of current stars Zanbagh and Boban) out of Blizzardly, making this filly a half-sister to Unencumbered. We have a lovely colt, Lot 146, a More Than Ready out of staked performed and proven producing mare Paulini and Lot 326, a Redoutes Choice colt out of a young imported mare Astinella (USA) – they are both great colts with excellent pedigrees.
